SELLING A BUSINESS AS A GOING CONCERN

When selling a business as a going concern, will deemed to be the supply of goods. This sale me be zero rated VAT according to Sec 11(1)(e) if the following conditions been met.

* Both the seller and purchaser must be registered for VAT

* The seller need confirmation of the purchaser's VAT registration number

* The agreement must be in writing and must include the following:

** Business being sold at zero (o%) rated VAT

** Business will be carried forward and be an income producing business. Business must be kept active.

** Business will be sold as an going concern
